Edgerton rolls on to stay unbeaten, other scores

Edgerton High’s unbeaten girls basketball team eased its way to win No. 4 on Monday night.


Whitney Oren scored eight for Edgerton in a 17-7 first quarter, and the Crimson Tide went on to 71-33 nonference victory at Marshall.


Meggie Schmidt was Edgerton’s game leader with 17 points, and Oren finished with 13.

-- Clinton 52, Harvard 21—Clinton (3-2) posted a 15-0 shutout in the second quarter to lock up a nonconference win over visiting Harvard, Ill.


Megan Lantz and Laura Popanz hit three-point goals in helping the Cougars build a 14-7 lead in the first quarter. They were up 29-7 at halftime.


Taryn Ciochon had a 10-point game to pace Clinton, which had 10 players score.
