— One more day until the gates officially open to the 2010 Walworth County Fair. Today will be busy around the fairgrounds, with exhibitors getting their areas set up.

The check in schedule for Tuesday is:

3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Check in for crops, gardens and fruits, Youth Building

3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Check in for house plants and flowers, Youth Building

3 p.m. is the quality pork carcass live show, Swine barn

5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. is the steer weigh in, Activity Center

4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Check in for the foods categories of canned goods and baked goods in the youth building

Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010

MARSHAL’S DAY

General admission prices-- $9 for those 13 and older; $3 for those ages 6-12; free for 5 and younger.

Season ticket prices-- $30 for those 13 and older; $10 for ages 6-12.

Daily special-- Moonlight Madness, $25 wristband for midway rides from noon to 11 p.m.

Judging

7:30 a.m.-- Wether weigh-in for live show, Sheep Barn

8 a.m.-- Barrows, Swine Barn

9 a.m.-- Field crops, garden and fruit judging, Youth Building

9 a.m.-- Wether goat weighin, Sheep Barn

9 a.m.-- Dog obedience and showmanship, Activity Center

9 a.m.-- Flowers and home grounds judging, Youth Building

Noon-- Swine showmanship, Swine Barn

4 p.m.-- Tanned rabbit pelt contest, Small Animal Barn

6:30 p.m.-- Dairy showmanship, Activity Center

7 p.m.-- Lamb carcass contest results, Elkhorn Area High School

General-- Junior swine, horticulture, dogs, dairy, open-antiques, baking, photography, draft horse

Special Events

10 a.m.-- Opening ceremony with honorary marshals, Main Gate

10 a.m. -- Clydesdale and Belgian halter class, Draft Horse Arena

10:30 a.m.-- Class in Old School House, Park Stage

11 a.m.-7 p.m.-- Tractor/truck pulls, Grandstand

11:30 a.m.-- Karl Bell, Pepsi Stage

Noon to 4 p.m.-- Banjo Barons, Park stage

Noon to 7 p.m.-- Nick’s Kids Show, Barnyard Adventure Stage.

Noon to 6 p.m.-- Peg Reedy, Ag/business educator quilt show, Log Cabin.

12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.-- Chainsaw artist Dave Watson, Kiddieland

1-6 p.m.-- Pig races, Kiddieland

2 p.m.-- Jill Dawson Duo, Park Stage

3 p.m.-- Phil Calkins, Pepsi Stage; Tie dye hat contest, Log Cabin

5 p.m.-- 2010 Fairest of the Fair contest, Park Stage; Scarecrow making contest, Barnyard Adventure Stage

6:30 p.m.-- Country Idol semifinals, Park Stage; American Legion/V.F.W. Flag Ceremony, Grandstand
