ELKHORN -- Judging began this week in many 4-H categories for the upcoming Walworth County Fair.
Foods and food judging was Tuesday. Home and family, along with Cloverbud judging takes place Thursday.
Photography, woodworking, electrical science and aerospace judging are Friday, highlighted by the annual model rocket launch at 6 p.m. in front of the grand stand:
Thursday, Aug. 19
Noon to 6 p.m. -- Home and Family: Clothing, clothing decisions, knitting and crocheting, home environment, child development
Noon to 6 p.m. -- Explorer and Cloverbud judging.
Friday, Aug. 20
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- Photography
Noon to 6 p.m. -- Woodworking and computer judging
Noon to 6 p.m. -- Electrical science, mechanical science, natural science, animal and
veterinary science, youth leadership and international judging.
Noon to 6 p.m. -- Aerospace and scale model projects.
6 p.m. -- Model rocket launch at the grandstands.
Saturday, Aug. 21
1 p.m. -- Cat show
Thursday, Aug. 26
6:30 p.m. -- Dog agility
Saturday, Aug. 28
8 a.m. Horse and pony show
Sunday, Aug. 29
8 a.m. -- Horse, pony and miniature show
9:30 a.m. -- Swine breeding stock
1 p.m. -- Beef carcass weigh in
2 p.m. -- Beef carcass live show
Monday-Tuesday, Aug. 30-31
