MADISON -- Hundreds of people have signed up for state electronic notifications about wolf attacks on dogs.
The Department of Natural Resources says 3,462 subscribers are receiving e-mail alerts about caution areas and attacks. People can sign up through the DNR’s Web site.
The DNR says wolves have killed 12 dogs and injured seven more since the beginning of the year. Eight of the fatal attacks have come since July 1, when the training season for bear-hunting hounds began.
