The lives of newspaper editors are ruled by the deadline.

For print editions, deadlines come at regular intervals, but in the online world of news, there's never a break. That's just how the modern news consumers like it.

It was a year ago today that WalworthCountyToday.com first went live, and since then, we've grown our audience and strengthened our readership on all of our news platforms.

The genesis of WalworthCountyToday.com came from a desire to bring together all the resources that our company, Bliss Communications, has invested in Walworth County.

In addition to WalworthCountyToday.com, it also was a year ago that we launched the new CommunityShoppers.com website as well as the Walworth County edition of the Gazette.

We've found that all our news platforms now complement each other, and our website traffic has grown steadily throughout the first year.

Readers increasingly look to the web for breaking news. Between, word of mouth and social networking sites, if big news breaks in Walworth County, the word gets around fast.

And with the growing support of local advertisers, we've been able to get news to readers quickly.

The speed of our online reporting has supported the daily news report in the print edition of the Walworth County Gazette.

Add to that the news and features published in Walworth County Sunday, and local readers have access to a wealth of information that no other media company can provide.
