Outing raises $30,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters

ELKHORN - Nearly 20 years ago, Mark Stinebrink, co-owner of Stinebrink's Piggly Wiggly in Lake Geneva and Delavan, learned from a friend about the mentoring programs provided to area youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rock, Walworth & Jefferson Counties.

The friend encouraged Stinebrink to get involved and the Stinebrink Golf for Kids golf outing was established in 1993. Sixty golfers played that first year. This year, 200 golfers teed it up on July 16 at the Evergreen Golf Club in Elkhorn for the 17th annual playday.
