RAW VIDEO: Man rescued after jumping into Rock River
Video released by the Janesville Police Department shows officials rescuing a man from the Rock River after he jumped in while fleeing police.
Police pulled Bradley A. Bobzien, 52, over near the intersection of Centerway and North Main Street at 6:06 p.m. after police recognized the vehicle as being one described in an earlier incident, Lt. Terry Sheridan said.
Bobzien, one of an unknown number of occupants in the vehicle, then exited and ran from police, Sheridan said.
Police chased the man on foot before he jumped into the river and floated south, where he was rescued south of the Milwaukee Street bridge.
