MADISON--Two Janesville Parker golfers shot their low rounds of the year at Yahara Golf Course in Madison to lead a sweep of a Big Eight triangular Monday.

The Vikings shot 338 as a team to beat Madison East (354) and La Follette (375). Parker's total was its lowest score of the season.

John Milner, coming off a round of 77 at the Ashenfelter Invitational over the weekend, carded a 2-over 74, his best score of 2014.

“(Milner) is happy with 74, but he's always looking at where he can improve,” Parker coach Bob Eicher said.

First-year varsity player Sam Kisting shot a 90 to set his personal best. Bobby Wyss and Jordan Manthey rounded out the Parker foursome with scores of 86 and 88, respectively.

Parker's next meet is the two-day Tri-City Invitational at Glen Erin on Thursday and Friday against Janesville Craig, Milton and Beloit Memorial.

“It'll be good competition for us to see how we stack up,” Eicher said.
