Two men suspected of robbing a man who had more than $16,000 cash
ELKHORN—Two Walworth County men are charged with using a knife to rob a man after he cashed a $16,000 check.
Austin M. Fehrm, 27, and Florian K. Schober, 32, reportedly picked up a man at a McDonald's in Delavan on April 18, according to the criminal complaint.
The man thought the three were going to Fehrm's house to get marijuana, but Schober stopped the vehicle and Fehrm held a knife to the man's throat, according to the complaint.
Earlier in the day, the man had cashed a settlement check worth more than $16,000, according to the criminal complaint.
The two men took the man's wallet, hat, cell phone and cash before leaving him at the side of the road, according to the complaint.
Fehrm, of N3234 Old 89 Road, Darien, is charged with party to armed robbery as a repeat offender and misdemeanor bail jumping.
Schober, of 710 Faryl Ave., No. 1, Delavan, is charged with party to armed robbery.
