WCEDA executive director steps down
ELKHORN -- After six years with the Walworth County Economic Development Alliance, Mike Van Den Bosch will be stepping down as executive director at the end of May to take on an economic development position in Colorado.
Van Den Bosch joined the organization as director of business development in 2008 after graduating with a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In October 2010, Van Den Bosch was selected to lead the organization as executive director.
“The last six years at WCEDA have been so tremendously rewarding,” Van Den Bosch said.
“Over his last four years as executive director, Mike has transformed this organization in a way that I don't envision anyone else could have,” said Alan Larsen, WCEDA's president. “This is a huge loss for us, but we couldn't be more excited about this new opportunity for Mike and we certainly wish him the best of luck as he continues to advance in the field of economic development.”
WCEDA has not identified a replacement for Van Den Bosch, but according to a release from the organization, the board has begun the search process, and hopes to have a new director in place by July.
WCEDA is a membership-based organization working with public and private sector partners to create jobs and build private sector investment within the county.
