Community Action program gets $544,442 HUD grant
Community Action of Rock and Walworth Counties' Transitional Living program received a $544,442 U.S. Housing and Urban Continuum of Care Program grant.
It is part of $20.1 million in grants to renew support for 90 homeless housing and service programs in Wisconsin so they can continue to operate in the coming year and provide critically needed housing and support services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Community Action's TLP program is open to homeless parents 18 to 21 who are willing to live in Beloit. Participants receive rent assistance and direct assistance, intensive case management, employment workshops, educational support and parenting and life skills training.
