Three arrested in Janesville after deputies search home with ties to heroin distribution

JANESVILLE—Three people were arrested Tuesday after Rock County deputies searched a South Main Street home on a heroin-related search warrant, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Deputies searched the home after the sheriff's office's Special Investigations Unit looked into distribution and sale of heroin from the home at 568 S. Main St., the release states.

Found in the search were:

--Half an ounce of heroin

--Several hundred prescription pills

--Three ounces of marijuana

--Drug paraphernalia

--A 9mm handgun

--A switchblade knife

Arrested and taken to Rock County Jail were James F. Gillard, 34; Trisha K. Kienbaum, 35; and James M. Norstrem, 28.

Gillard was arrested for:

--Two counts delivery of heroin

--Three counts maintaining a drug trafficking place

--Possession with intent to deliver marijuana

--Possession of drug paraphernalia

--Felon in possession of firearm

--Possession of switchblade knife

--Probation violation

Kienbaum was arrested for:

--Maintaining a drug trafficking place

--Possession of drug paraphernalia

--Possession with intent to deliver marijuana

Norstrem was arrested for:

--Possession of marijuana

--Possession of drug paraphernalia

--Probation violation

Deputies from the Special Investigations Unit and the Janesville Street Crimes United assisted in the search warrant and arrests.

South Main Street was closed to traffic for about 10 minutes during the search.

Gillard, Kienbaum and Norstrem are scheduled for jail court at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
