Fire crews battle five-alarm blaze in Burlington

BURLINGTON--Firefighters from 20 departments fought a five-alarm fire that damaged a furniture store in downtown Burlington late Saturday night, according to news reports from the Racine Journal Times.

Crews responded to the fire at about 9:30 p.m. April 5 at Schuette-Daniels Furniture, 425 N. Pine St., a longtime fixture in Burlington.

No one was in the building at the time, and no one was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
