'I Love Lucy' back on WGTD Radio Theater

KENOSHA--The WGTD Radio Theater will broadcast an episode of  “The New I Love Lucy Show,” performed before a live studio audience at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 in Room 120 of the Bio Science Building on the Kenosha campus of Gateway Technical College, 3520-30th Avenue. 

Studio audience members are welcome and admission is free. The audience should arrive by 10:45 a.m.

In addition to being aired over WGTD-FM HD, the program will also be streamed live on-line at www.WGTD.org.

The episode is “Lucy Ricardo runs for village president.”

Starring in this original “Lucy” episode, written by WGTD Radio Theater co-Executive Producers Mike Ullstrup and Steve Brown, are: Viki DuMez (Lucy), Siegfriend Christoph (Ricky), Julie Burton (Ethel) and John O'Leksy (Fred).  Other 91.1 Players appearing in this episode are: Ben Abrahamson, Chris Brookes, Rene Bushelle, Todd Eaves, Jill Jensen, and Terry Meyers.

Musical numbers (recorded) will be performed by Desi Arnaz and his Orchestra, including “Babalu,” and  the vocal version of the “I love Lucy” theme song.

This “I Love Lucy” episode is directed by Viki DuMez, who is a founding member of the WGTDRadio Theater and the 91.1 Players.

The groups will also perform an ongoing original comedy mini-series, “It's the Professor!”

In the episode,  the gang at Boca del Rio, Phase 3 are all having to put up with Irving's battle with trying to learn how to use his new iPhone 5s.

Starring in the program are John O'Leksy (Irving), Viki DuMez (Chutsi), Terry Meyers (Haddassah),  Siegfried Christoph ( “The Professor”), and Rene Bushelle (Vivian May).
