Himley, Jets sweep Johnstown
The Janesville Jets continued their playoff push Saturday night.
Jordan Himley’s goal at 44 seconds of the third period proved to the be the game-winner as Janesville hung on for a 2-1 win over Johnstown in a pivotal NAHL game.
The Jets remain in a heated battle for the fourth and final playoff spot in the NAHL’s North Division.
Kyle Patava gave Janesville a 1-0 lead in the second, but Johnstown tied the game with two minutes left in the period.
Himley got the game-winner on assists from Alex Smith and Evan Feno.
Logan Halladay picked up the win in net, stopping 25 of 26 shots he faced.
Janesville has seven full games and one suspended game to finish in the regular season. It hosts Michigan next Friday and Saturday at the Janesville Ice Arena.
