Julia M. Binning, age 91, of Whitewater, formerly of Kansasville, was born to eternal life, Friday Feb. 21, 2014, at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek, WI. Julia was born Oct. 9, 1922, to Joseph and Mary (nee Krizovan) Strasser in Milwaukee, WI. Her early life was spent in Milwaukee, then Dover Township. She was a graduate of Burlington High School, Class of 1940. On March 2, 1946, Julia was united in marriage to the late Floyd W. Binning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kansasville. Following their marriage, they resided first in Waterford, then in Kansasville, for 48 years, where they raised their family. They worked well as a team, both were employed in Racine. When Floyd started his construction business, she became his book keeper. Julia then stayed home to raise her children. Julia was very personable and enjoyed talking with people. She went back to work for the next several years; working as a waitress, a clerk in the grocery store and then became the Postmaster at the Kansasville Post Office. After retiring, they moved to Texas, where they had previously traveled while camping, so they could enjoy the warmer climate during the winter months. While in Texas, Julia was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She moved back to Wisconsin, permanently in 2008, to be with her family. Julia resided with her daughter, Judy, in Whitewater, and was an active member of St. Patrick's Parish in Whitewater. Julia was gifted and enjoyed doing a variety of crafts; she was an avid Brewer and Packer fan and enjoyed watching the games on TV. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.

Julia is survived by her children: Judith Binning and Ronald (Marilyn) Binning, both of Whitewater; grandchildren: Kari (Josh) Binning Lang, Randall (Angie) Binning, Scott Condon and Todd (Corby) Condon; great-grandchildren: Lilian and Jacintha Lang, Conner and Landon Binning, Jaden and Reece Condon and Bailey Condon. She is further survived by her siblings, Mary (Werner) Wichmann of Climax Springs, MO, and George (Dorothy) Strasser of Waterford; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Binning; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Thomas Binning; and a daughter-in-law, Kathleen; in-laws, George (Alma) Binning; brothers and sisters-in-law; Glenn Binning, Robert (Mildred) Ketterhagen and Marvin (Mildred) Binning.
