RVC girls hoops: Evansville tops Turner

Brielle Greenleaf scored 17 points and three teammates added eight points apiece to lead Evansville to a 62-49 Rock Valley Conference crossover victory over visiting Beloit Turner on Saturday afternoon.

An early third-quarter spurt increased the Blue Devils' 34-30 lead to 10 points, and Turner didn't threaten after that.

Riley Miller, Ally Krueger and Bethany Gregg each added eight points for Evansville (6-7 in the Rock, 6-11 overall).

Ashley Himmelmann led the Trojans with 18 points and Kayla Washburn added 13.

•  Whitewater 66, East Troy 23—Brooke Trewyn scored 20 points and the visiting Whippets had little trouble in an RVC North contest.

Whitewater built a 20-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back, improving to 16-3 overall and 11-2 in the North—taking a half-game lead on McFarland (10-2). Melanie Martinez added 11 points and Myriama Smith-Traore had 10 for the Whippets.

Katrina Santos had eight for the Trojans.
