Delavan-Darien didn’t make a basket in the fourth quarter on Friday night, but it didn’t matter.

The Comets boys basketball team did its damage at the free-throw line and held off Westosha Central, 52-49, in a Southern Lakes Conference home game.

Jesse Collins led Delavan-Darien with 20 points, and the Falcons forced the Comets to win without their typical barrage of 3-pointers.

They were 12 of 14 from the stripe in the fourth quarter to improve to 3-10 in league play. They’ve won four of their last five games.
