'Lincoln, Constitution' exhibit at UW-Whitewater gallery

WHITEWATER--Roberta's Art Gallery within the James R. Connor University Center on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus, will be hosting Lincoln: the Constitution and the Civil War, an exhibit running through March 21.

The exhibit will be open during the gallery's regular semester hours, 10 .a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. A reception will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 3:30-5 p.m. with light refreshments available.

Additionally, actor Fritz Klein will be portraying Abraham Lincoln and bring his timeless principles to life during a live performance in Summer Auditorium within the James R. Connor University Center on Feb.19, 2014 from 6:15-7:15 p.m.

Lincoln: the Constitution and the Civil War, a traveling exhibition for libraries, was organized by the National Constitution Center and the American Library Association Public Programs Office. The traveling exhibition has been made possible by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Lincoln: the Constitution and the Civil War is based on an exhibition of the same name developed by the National Constitution Center.
