Man's hand slashed after music concert
JANESVILLE — A music concert ended at a local hospital early Saturday morning after police say a man cut another man's hand at a Janesville tavern.
Officers were dispatched at 12:44 a.m. to Back Bar, 1901 Beloit Ave., after an altercation led to a man being cut on his hand. Police say that they witnessed a physical disturbance outside the bar and found a man armed with a knife.
Additional responding officers attempted to stop a vehicle that fled during the disturbance. After following the vehicle for less than one mile, the vehicle became stuck in a snow plowed field in the 2600 block of Ventura Drive.
Police arrested three men as a result of the disturbance.
Zachary K. Geimer, 31, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct while armed. Curtis J. Dortch, 34, was charged with fleeing, OWI second offense and on a probation hold. Christopher M. Brooks, 35, was arrested on a probation hold.
The man who had a laceration from the knife was treated and released from Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center.
