RVC girls basketball: East Troy holds off Parkview

Parkview High’s Ciarra Heldt made three fourth-quarter 3-pointers to get her team close, but visiting East Troy held on for a 46-40 victory Thursday night in Rock Valley Conference girls basketball action.

Heldt finished with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, but Parkview could not get closer than four points.

The Trojans took control by outscoring the Vikings 11-4 in the third quarter. Katrina Santos led the Trojans with 19 points, while M.E. Dodge scored 16.

Parkview is 3-7 in the Rock and 5-9 overall.

•  Clinton 69, Evansville 31—The Cougars raced out to a 17-point first-quarter lead on the road.

Megan Lantz scored 14 points to lead three Clinton players in double figures. Mallory Niemann and Sam Stauss each had 13, and the Cougars stayed in second place in the RVC South at 5-2.

Brielle Greenleaf scored 10 for the Blue Devils, who fell to 2-6 in the North.

•  McFarland 66, Turner 41—The Spartans remained unbeaten in the Rock Valley North thanks to 17 points from senior guard Rosie Runde.

Junior Kayla Washburn scored 18 points to lead Turner, which fell to 3-4 in the South.
