Arrests

-- FRANK H. KRETZSCHMAR, 38, of 1211 Sylvester St., No. 4, Janesville, at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday at his residence on charges of strangulation, battery and disorderly conduct, all as acts of domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting a woman he knows.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- KYLA M. STAZAK, 25, of 530 E. Ellendale Road, No. 405, Edgerton, at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 29, arrested on a charge of intoxicated driving, causing injury. She is accused of driving a car that went off the road, hit a mailbox and rolled over several times before coming to rest in a field. Passenger Anna M. Olsen, 22, of 510 E. Church St., Orfordville, was admitted for treatment at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, and later discharged.

-- BURGLARY in the 600 block of East Court Street, Janesville, reported at 7:48 a.m. Thursday. Taken was a bicycle valued at $200.

-- BURGLARY to a garage on North County M in the town of Union, reported at 8:19 a.m. Thursday. Many tools were reported stolen.

Injury accidents

-- MILTON AVENUE AT HIGHWAY 14, JANESVILLE, at 1:25 p.m. Thursday, when two cars traveling in the same direction sideswiped. Drivers Shalise C. Sherrod, 28, of 1025 Burton St., No. 8, Beloit, and Lissa R. Myhre, 57, of 4339 Pleasant Run, Janesville, were transported for treatment of possible injuries. Sherrod was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

-- MILTON AVENUE AT NEWMAN STREET, JANESVILLE, at 11:19 a.m. Thursday, when cars driven by Samantha J. Debroux, 21, of 712 Yuba St., Janesville, and Kevin V. Moore, 25, of 202 S. Academy St., Janesville, collided. Moore was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. He was cited for failure to yield the right of way while entering Milton Avenue from a stop sign on Newman.

-- WASHINGTON STREET NORTH OF HAMILTON AVENUE, JANESVILLE, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, a pickup truck driven by Faron T. Brandenburg, 28, of 3520 N. County E, Janesville, collided with a car driven by Brock G. Elliott, 24, of 1707 S. Crosby Ave., Janesville, as Elliott's car entered the street from a driveway. Elliott was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. Elliott was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Both men were cited for improper registration of their vehicles.

-- COURT AND WALNUT STREETS, JANESVILLE, at 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, when a car driven by Richard K. Schwarz, 55, of 2230 N. Claremont Drive, Janesville, did not stop at a stop sign on Walnut Street, continued through the "T" intersection and hit a utility pole on the south side of Court Street. A witness told police the driver appeared to be shaking as if from a seizure. Schwarz was transported for medical treatment.

-- MILTON AND SHERMAN AVENUES, JANESVILLE, at 12:16 p.m. Dec. 28, when a car driven by Doris M. Teche, 78, of 2033 Sunnyside St., Janesville, collided with a car driven by Susan A. Hilton, 50, of 741 Sutherland Ave., Janesville. Teche was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. Teche told police that glare from the sun affected her vision. She was cited for inattentive driving.

-- HIGHWAY 213 NEAR SPRING VALLEY ROAD IN THE TOWN OF SPRING VALLEY, at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday, when a car driven by Brenda E. Rosser, 16, of 2801 S. Highway 213, Orfordville, started to pass a county truck that was plowing snow. A car coming from the opposite direction driven by Codie J. Pettigrew, 19, of 138 Walnut St., Orfordville, went into the ditch to avoid a head-on collision. Pettigrew was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. Rosser was cited for passing into oncoming traffic.
