Walker seeks applicants for Walworth County coroner

MADISON--Gov. Scott Walker is seeking applicants for appointment as coroner in Walworth County.

The appointment will fill the vacancy created by the passing of John T. Griebel.  The new coroner will begin serving upon appointment and will complete a term ending January 5, 2015.

An applicant must reside in Walworth County at the time the appointment becomes effective.

Residents interested in applying for the position, should submit the following:

• Cover letter

• Resume

• Application, which can be found on Governor Walker's website: http://www.walker.wi.gov/. (Select the "Apply" tab on the right side of the page, then click on the "Reg. of Deeds/Sheriff/Coroner tab")

Applicants should outline in their cover letters what professional and academic experiences qualify them to be coroner and describe their civic activities and community involvement.
