RVC boys hoops: North dominates crossover games

Edgerton scored more points in the first quarter than visiting Palmyra-Eagle totaled in a Rock Valley Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night.

Adam Converse had 15 points and James Fox added 12 to lead the Crimson Tide to a 62-18 win over the Panthers.

Edgerton is 7-0 overall.

The Rock Valley North went 5-1 in crossover games against the South on Tuesday night.

Nate Behr scored 14 of the Panthers’ 18 points.

• Whitewater 45, Clinton 43—Peter McCrea’s basket with 20 seconds left proved to be the game-winner for the Whippets in a Rock Valley crossover game.

Scott Gorsuch had 10 points to lead Whitewater (3-3, 2-2), which trailed by four after three quarters.

Clinton’s Lucas Risse had 19 points to lead all scorers.

Jefferson 52, Turner 43—Vinny Cincotta scored 21 of his game-high 27 points in the second half to lead the Eagles past the Trojans.

Anthony Payton had 19 points to lead Turner, which led 20-15 at half.

East Troy 79, Brodhead 43—The Trojans jumped out to a 15-point lead after one quarter and never looked back.

Jacob Growel led four East Troy players in double figures with 16 points. Ned Slocum and Josiah DeLorme combined for 33 of the Cardinals’ 43 points.

McFarland 67, Big Foot 31—Sophomore forward Ben Rounds scored 21 points for the Spartans, who cruised to the crossover victory.
