Police searching for Williams Bay bank robber

WILLIAMS BAY --Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed the Walworth State Bank, 121 N. Walworth Ave. Friday morning, according to police reports.

Authorities say the suspect entered the bank about 10 a.m., displayed a handgun and demanded a teller put money in a bag he had brought.

The man reportedly fled on foot with an unknown amount of money.

Police are looking for a white male, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall and approximately 240 pounds. He was wearing a tan or brown Carhartt-style jacket, blue jeans, black gloves, white gym shoes and a black ski mask.

The Williams Bay Police Department is being assisted by the Walworth County Sheriff's Office, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and officers from police departments in the towns of Delavan and Geneva, the village of Fontana.
