Georgia May (Edmundson) Honeysett, age 79, of Janesville, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Heartwarming House, Milton, following a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born Oct. 4, 1934, in Janesville, the daughter of the late Delbert and Flossie (Bouton) Edmundson. She was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. Georgia and her husband of 60 years, Ralph W. Honeysett, were the longtime proprietors of Honeysett's Variety Store in Footville, and she also operated The Handy Horseman Tack Shop in that same location. She loved spending time with her horses for all of her life, and was an active member of the Golden Valley Riders and the Rock County 4-H Horse Project. She spent many years as a scout leader for the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts, and also the Explorers. For recreation, when not riding, she enjoyed line dancing, trick roping, dominoes, and was an excellent seamstress. Her family and friends recall times spent with her as she shared her love of horses, and gave many their first horseback ride! Georgia started the Footville Village Rummage Sale so she wouldn't miss a bargain! She was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Janesville.

Surviving Georgia to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Ralph; her six children: Linda Honeysett, Connie (Steve) Udell, Robert (Jevie) Honeysett, Cathy (James) Smith, Roger Honeysett, and Craig (Donna) Honeysett; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister, Karen White; her brother, Ray Edmundson; her sister-in-law, Carol Demert; and many, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 1909 Highland Ave., with Rev DeeAnn Woods officiating.
