WCAC receives $17,000 grant

WALWORTH COUNTY—The Walworth County Child Advocacy Center, W4063 County Highway NN in Elkhorn, is one of 14 Wisconsin Child Advocacy Centers to receive $17,000 in grant money through the Office of Crime Victim Services at the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

The grant money will be used for education, training, medical advice and quality assurance activities.

Other area centers to receive the funds include the Racine Child Advocacy Center Program, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Kenosha, and the YWCA of Rock County's YWCA CARE House.

The centers coordinate services for child victims and their families from law enforcement and criminal justice agencies, child protective services, victim advocacy agencies and health care providers.
