Two local centers receive $17,000 grants
Two local centers that provide services for child victims and their families each have received $17,000 grant to help with professional development, medical consultation and service improvement.
The Walworth County Child Advocacy Center, W4063 Hwy. NN, Elkhorn, and YWCA CARE House, 1126 Conde St., Janesville, are among 14 Wisconsin Child Advocacy Centers to receive grant money administered through the Office of Crime Victim Services at the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
The centers coordinate services for child victims and their families using various agencies including law enforcement, child protective services, health care providers and victim advocacy agencies.
