MADISON –A series of public information and question sessions will be held on new recommendations the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is proposing to implement based on the Deer Trustee Report.

Public hearings will be held at 35 locations statewide from Oct. 22-31. The closest sites to Walworth County include meetings in Burlington on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the Veterans Terrace, Stars and Stripes Room, 589 Milwaukee Ave.; and in Janesville on Tuesday, Oct.29, from 6-8 p.m. at the DNR Service Center, 2514 Morse St.

The official comment period will run from Oct. 14 to Nov. 8. If people are unable to attend a public hearing during this time, they are encouraged to complete a survey and submit comments online through the “deer trustee report web page” on the DNR site.
