Fire call

-- FARM MACHINERY FIRE at 5:26 p.m. Friday near the southeast corner of Austin Road and West Court Street, Janesville. A Case combine and associated machinery valued at $550,000 were destroyed, probably when chaff caught in the machinery overheated. No one was injured. The combine's owner was O'Leary Gunn Farms.

-- RESIDENTIAL FIRE reported at 8:43 p.m. Friday at 11552 N. Lakeview Drive in Mallwood Estates. The Milton Fire Department had no details before the Gazette's deadline Friday night.

-- BURGLARY to a residence in the 1100 block of South Academy Street, Janesville, reported at 3:12 p.m. Thursday. Taken were Nintendo game equipment and an unreported quantity of the drug Adderall.

-- SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE reported at 8:24 p.m. Thursday. A mother told police that a man in a red Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck tried to get her 7-year-old son and a friend to get into the vehicle on West Conde Street in Janesville, but the children ran home.

-- BURGLARY to a residence in the 1500 block of Highland Avenue, Janesville, reported at 11:10 a.m. Oct. 2. The resident discovered that baby items had been resold to a business, including a stroller, pillow, bathtub, car seat and basket.

-- BURGLARY to a residence on East Gladys Drive in the town of Fulton, reported a t 1:57 p.m. Sept. 25. The resident reported that a .357 caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun had gone missing over the previous three or four months.

-- BURGLARY to Pregl Services, 5043 S. Highway 59, town of Rock, reported on Sept. 16. A bucket of tools and a power washer, total value $500, were taken. Deputies recovered the bucket of tools in nearby woods.

-- MARIJUANA IN THE PLUMBING at 2:36 a.m. Tuesday at Kwik Trip, 3125 S. Highway 51, Janesville. The marijuana had been placed in the fill tank of a toilet at the gas station. It caused the float to stick, causing the toilet to overflow, which alerted staff.

-- CHAD J. RADLOFF, 27, of 3127 Canterbury Lane, Janesville, at 2:26 a.m. Friday at Palmer Drive and Racine Street, Janesville.

-- MICHAEL D. TRACY, 31, of 1210 Sylvester St. No. 6, Janesville, at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at Center Avenue and Van Buren Street, Janesville.

Accidents

-- HIGHWAY 59 AT THE UNION ROAD CONNECTOR, TOWN OF UNION, at 9:46 a.m. Oct. 5, when a car driven by Jessica L. Kohlhagen, 33, of 312 S. First St., Evansville, skidded on a curve on Highway 59, ran over a stop sign, continued through the median, flew about 50 feet and ended up rolling over in a cornfield. Kohlhagen was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. She was cited for unreasonable speed and failure to wear a seat belt. A passenger, Steven P. Adams, 26, of 3506 LaMancha Drive, Janesville, was treated and released at Mercy. He was cited for failure to wear a seat belt.

-- BINGHAM ROAD, JUST EAST OF HENKE ROAD, at 7:53 p.m. Oct. 3, when a car driven by Alison M. Schaetten, 18, of 302 Chicago St., Milton, was headed west on Bingham Road, failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road and hit several small trees before coming to rest against a big tree. Schaetten was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. A passenger, Mariah R. Dorsey, 18, of 607 Skyview Drive, Milton, also was transported for medical treatment.
