Your views: Moving fairgrounds would benefit all
I am writing in response to the Sept. 12 article “Will City Fight for the Fair?” I have been coming to the fair ever since I was little and this movement from Janesville to Evansville is a big change for the whole community and will take some time for everyone to adjust to the change.
Because of all performing acts and the attendance, the grounds were extremely overpopulated last year. When Florida Georgia Line performed, the attendance at the fair reached its highest at over 30,000 people. This was even during a weekday!
I am very glad that this article was brought to the attention of many people because a lot of people have been waiting for this move. Showing is another positive for moving locations. A bigger building would fit more animals at a time and would get the judging done faster. After this move has occurred, it is going to be something positive and beneficial for everyone involved.
