Kenosha reviews financial plans for Amazon.com distribution center
KENOSHA--Kenosha officials are settling the details on a $17 million financial agreement that would allow Amazon.com to develop a 1-million-square-foot distribution center on the east side of Interstate 94, according to a story in the Business Journal.
The center, which would be located between County Highway S and 38th Street in Kenosha, is expected to create 1,000 jobs.
A $17 million tax incremental financing grant was already approved last month, but Kenosha's Finance Committee will consider the terms on the final development agreement. City officials expect property taxes for the center will bring in enough revenue to pay the $17 million in borrowed funds for the project.

UPDATE: The Kenosha City Council voted 13-0 on the agreement late Monday night, according to the Kenosha News.
