A chance to meet and mingle with a slew of fine authors, the opportunity to catch a black-and-white 1950s-style sci-fi film, “A Giant Spider” by Chris Mihm, and a guest appearance by Patch Adams, the doctor who inspired a movie: it's all at the 2013 Sterling North Book and Festival.

The event, held at Edgerton High School , 220 Elm High Drive, Edgerton, runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. The festival is a free family event that celebrates the hometown of Wisconsin author Sterling North. It also  promotes libraries, reading and writing—with information on how to get published.
