EAST TROY--Ever wonder what's behind that door at the police department or where the snow plows go at night?

Here's a chance to find out at the village of East Troy's open house for all departments on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The open house at the village hall, 2015 Energy Drive, will include the administration department, parks and recreation department (east entrance), the police department (south entrance), and the municipal court (north entrance).

There will also be open houses at the department of public works and the waste water treatment plant, 2104 Young Street, where a bouncy house will be set up, and members of the East Troy Fire Department will be making appearances; the East Troy Lions Public Library, 3094 Graydon Ave.; and the East Troy Municipal Airport, 2085 County Highway L.

Visitors can ask questions, get "behind the scenes" tours, chat with employees and village board members. Refreshments will be served.

There will also be a dedication ceremony of park bench in honor of former village president Bill Loesch, and service recognition awards at 9:30 a.m. at the north entrance of the village hall.
