— FOREST LANE AT ROLLINGWOOD DRIVE, TOWN OF JANESVILLE, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, when a car driven by Randy R. Faist, 46, of 3675 W. Forest Lane hit a pedestrian, Jeanne M. Jeffrey, 90, of 3339 Rollingwood Drive. Jeffrey was treated and released at Janesville St. Mary's Hospital. Faist's view was blocked by trees at the intersection, and he could not stop in time to avoid the collision as he made a turn, according to the report.

— MINERAL POINT AVENUE JUST EAST OF SUNSET DRIVE, JANESVILLE, at 7:27 a.m. Sept. 13, when a car driven by David C. Beauvais, 70, of 509 Linn St., Janesville, struck a legally parked pickup truck. Beauvais told police he was blinded by the rising sun. He was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville.

RUGER AVENUE AT LEXINGTON DRIVE, JANESVILLE, at 7:50 a.m. Sept. 13, when an SUV driven by Robert H. Barwick Jr., 52, of Hillside Court, Janesville, hit 9-year-old bicyclist Ethan T. Richards of 2110 Ruger Ave., Janesville. Barwick told police the sun blinded him, and he did not see Richards in the crosswalk. Richards was transported for medical treatment. Barwick was cited for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

— PARKING LOT AT 1717 CENTER AVENUE, JANESVILLE, at 5:09 p.m. Sept. 13, when a car driven by Felicia R. Cade, 52, of 2225 Garden Drive, Janesville, was hit from behind by a pickup truck driven by James J. Rickard, 84, of 1936 S. Grant Ave., Janesville. Cade was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. A passenger in Cade's car, Deaveon F.N. Helm, 9, of 1211 Randall Ave., Janesville, also was transported for medical treatment. Cade told Rickard that she was experiencing back pain, but Rickard drove off. Cade followed him. Rickard was cited for failure to notify police of an accident. Rickard told police that he didn't think an accident had to be reported unless a car was damaged.
