EDGERTON—Rock Valley South powerhouse Walworth Big Foot won the Taylor Falligant Invitational in girls volleyball Saturday.

Big Foot finished with a 6-1 record, while Brodhead was second at 5-2. Janesville Craig was fourth with a 4-3 record.

Mackenzie Long of Big Foot was named the Tournament MVP.

Craig (18-9 overall) lost to Deerfield and Brodhead in the third-set tiebreaker.

“We had a chance to come in second in the tournament, but we had trouble finishing a couple of games,” Craig coach Blake Budrow said.

“McKenzie Bertagnoli played real consistent the whole day and was named to the all-tournament team. And Gabby Loveland and Amanda Trapp really served well.”

Craig returns to Big Eight Conference action Tuesday when it hosts Beloit Memorial.
