Someone with a sense of humor who also knows the field of education has come up with an educational jargon generator. This could help anyone writing school grant proposals or any other kind of official edu-document. It might be a boon to college students who are learning to become teachers.

I used the generator today. I keyed in the phrase “We will help students learn.” The generator changed that to “We will unpack dynamic competencies within professional learning communities.”

Actually, I think this “generator” simply throws in random edu-gaga phrases. I tried “We will help students learn” again, and it spit out a different sentence: “We will iterate proactive convergence throughout multiple modalities.”

So, if you're an educator and need a good laugh, try it yourself. It's at http://www.sciencegeek.net/lingo.html

The generator isn't good for much else. A truly important step forward, according to one of my colleagues, would be a reverse generator, which would translate edu-jargon into plain English.
