Entries for the 2014 Farm Fresh Atlas of Southeastern Wisconsin are being accepted through Dec. 13, but the early bird application fees go through Nov. 8.

The publication features local farmers, small businesses that are primarily food or farm related and farmers markets.

Farmers who sell directly to consumers, through on-farm sales, farm stands, farmers markets, CSAs or U-Pick operations or through other methods can be listed in the atlas. Any food-related business that supports farmers such as cheese factories, food co-ops, restaurants, bakeries, meat processors and others can participate as a business sponsor.

The cost to list a farm in the atlas is $50. Business listings are $175. There also will be ad and sponsorship space available for businesses. Atlases will be available for distribution in March 2014.

More than 80,000 atlases will be printed and distributed at farmers markets, through participating farms and businesses and through tourism and convention bureaus, public libraries and events such as county fairs.

Target counties include Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha. Farms and businesses that list in the hard copy version also will have their information online at www.farmfreshsewi.org.

For more information or to request application materials, contact Laurel Priesgen at (262) 857-1945 or laurel.priesgen@kenoshacounty.org. Applications are available at www.farmfreshsewi.org/applications.htm.
