The Lake Geneva Badger and Milton high school girls swim teams tied for second to lead area finishers at the Janesville Parker Relays on Saturday. Baraboo won the team title with 130, while the Badgers and Red Hawks each had 114.

Janesville Craig was fifth with 93, while Janesville Parker was eighth, and Delavan-Darien was ninth.

“We had many, many personal bests,” said Parker coach Meghan Bartell. “The Parker relays is always a fun event. It's nice to get both Craig and Parker at a meet. Both teams got together and had a Janesville cheer before the meet.”

Craig finished first in the 200 freestyle relay. The team of Sierra Rhodes, Tristi March, Emma Schmaling and Maggie Gorman finished in 1:45.85.

Parker's performance was highlighted by the 400 freestyle team, which took second, and the 200 medley relay team, which took fourth.

“Allison August stood out in the 400 relay,” Bartell said. “She probably dropped three or four seconds (off her 100 free time). She's going to be right up there with Hailey (Leisten) and Jana (Burner).”

Badger won four events—the 800 free relay, the 500 crescendo, the 200 medley and the 300 butterfly.

Milton won two events. Hannah Calhoon, Alyssa Onley, Sydney Richter and Libby Reuterskiold combined to win the 400 individual medley in 4:37.84, while the 300 breaststroke team of Onley, Dana Zimmerman, Ashley Damrow and Reuterskiold won the in 3:46.11.

Parker competes in a Big Eight Conference dual at Beloit on Thursday, and will be at the Elkhorn Invitational next Saturday.
