It's time to hear the sound of the surf again, amidst the landlocked fields, woods and rolling hills of the town of Lafayette.

That's right, Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band are back at Alpine Valley Music Theatre.

Buffett will perform at Alpine this Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. On the stage with him will be Jackson Browne.

For ticket information and more details on the concert, see Alpine Valley's Facebook page.

The 2013 tour features music from Buffett's new album, "Songs from St. Somewhere," released Aug. 20.

The studio album--his 27th--was six years in the making. While it's still got Buffett's laid-back South Florida vision--witness the singles entitled, "Einstein Was a Surfer"and "Something 'Bout a Boat"-- there's a little bit of country, too, courtesy of his duet with Toby Keith on  "Too Drunk to Karaoke."

In a recent interview with Time magazine, Buffett talked about the making of the album, Willie Nelson's sage words on retirement, and the passage of time .

Buffett's performance is the final concert of Alpine Valley's 2013 season.
