This is a roundup of entertainment news and events for Sept. 4-10.

EVENTS

Celebrate heritage

Edgerton will be hopping this weekend with its annual Chilimania, and the town of Beloit will let loose at the Festival on the Rock in Preservation Park.

But at Beckman Mill in Beloit, the past will come to life.

Beckman Mill County Park's annual Heritage Days celebration runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, in the park, 11600 County H, Beloit. It features corn grinding at the mill, antique tractors and farm equipment, wagon rides, live music, demonstrations of historical crafts and a small encampment of Civil War re-enactors. Food also will be available.

For information, check out beckmanmill.org.

Wine, dine at Lake Lawn

Craft beer is enjoying the limelight lately, but this weekend is all about wine at Delavan's Lake Lawn Resort.

More than 125 domestic and international wines and champagnes will be available for tasting—along with food samples—during the Great Taste from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the resort, 2400 E. Geneva St. The tasting event is part of the Wine & Food Festival that starts Friday, Sept. 5, and includes a market Saturday morning.

Great Taste tickets are $80-$115, with $20 tickets available for designated drivers. Visit lakelawnresort.com

TALK

Tomaro on music

The free talk includes a performance.

MUSIC

African choir to sing

The African Children's Choir, a group of African children ages 7-10 who have lost one or both parents to war, famine or disease, will visit south-central Wisconsin this weekend.

The choir will perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 700 N. Bloomfield Road, Lake Geneva, and at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at Faith Community Church, 2931 Lucerne Drive, Janesville.

The choir's goal is to raise awareness about vulnerable children on the African continent. For information, call Immanuel Lutheran at 262-248-4211 or Faith Community at 608-758-2850.
