WHITEWATER--A 10th anniversary party for the Prairie Tillers Mural project will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lakefront Pub, 111 W. Whitewater St., Whitewater Enter at main Pub door, room to the left).

Ten years ago, Whitewater celebrated the completion of the Prairie Tillers Mural restoration.  Just like the original painting project in 1980 this public art event was festive and inclusive, involving artists, community members, kids, clubs, donors and businesses.

The success of the 2004 project gave rise to
the Whitewater Arts Alliance which has been sponsoring exhibits, music, theatre and public art projects ever since.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, muralist Caryl Yasko will do some touch-up painting and supervise re-coating the mural with UV protective gloss.
The anniversary party will feature live music, snacks, and a cash bar, featuring Whitewater's own Second Salem craft beer.

The event is hosted by Caryl Yasko, Dawn Hunter, Ginny Coburn, Kristine Zaballos, Thayer Coburn, Deborah Blackwell, and Studio 84.
