August 1,1931 - July 12, 2014

Anne M. (Seifert) Waddell, beloved wife of Douglas C. Waddell, passed away peacefully July 12, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family. Anne was born Aug. 1, 1931, to parents, Frank and Clara Seifert. Anne grew up in Lake Geneva, and settled in Sharon WI, with her loving husband of 61 years. Anne graduated in 1950, from Lake Geneva High School, worked at Lakeland Hospital as an LPN, where all her children were born. While raising her family she continued to work in the field of health and respite care.

Anne was admired by many friends and family and will be greatly missed. She was a selfless, kind, sweet, hardworking, compassionate and sometimes mischievous person who lived to make the people in her life happy. She always desired a big family and relished time with her children and grandchildren. She found great joy in the company of her tight-knit family and reminded her children regularly how important it was to have and nurture one another. Anne went to great lengths to spend equal time with everyone. The fondest memories were family gatherings when everyone crowded together to celebrate countless holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and family vacations, which carried her to many destinations, both domestic and abroad. She was especially fascinated with the people and culture of Germany, which was home to her grandparents. Anne took great interest in the art of painting; her family travels provided interesting subjects and sceneries for her painting passion. She had a zest for life and never passed up an opportunity to share new experiences with her family. She is now in the company of angels and will forever be on our mind and in our hearts.

Surviving are her husband, Douglas; her brother, Frank (Arlene) Seifert of Spooner, WI; her sister-in-law, Esther Ross of Lake Geneva; her nine loving children: Linda Waddell-Tameling (Tom) of Sayner, Michael Waddell of Portland OR, Chris Waddell of Sharon, Debra Waddell of Burlington, Steve (Joni) Waddell of Delevan, Eva Peterson, of Walworth, Connie (Kent) Hutchins of Whitewater, Carol (Bill) Czaja of Burlington, Ronald (Mary) Waddell of Genoa City; along with 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Regular visitation is scheduled for Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the TOYNTON SHARON FUNERAL HOME. Services will be held Thursday morning, July 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the TOYNTON SHARON FUNERAL HOME. A luncheon will follow at the Sharon Methodist Church. Anne will be laid to rest among family at the Oakwood Cemetery, Sharon WI. Contributions to Agape House are welcome in lieu of flowers.
