Cruising through the cars of yesteryear

DELAVAN -- The Cars Time Forgot car show in Delavan has grown to be one of the biggest events of its kind in the state.

This year, organizers say they wouldn't be surprised to see more than 1,000 classic vehicles on display at Lake Lawn Resort along the shores of Delavan Lake.

The event's huge popularity has kept them on their toes as they continually try to improve on what has worked while offering something new in making it bigger and better for the thousands of people expected to participate and visit this year.

This year's 11th annual show, which caps a three-day celebration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, should achieve those goals.

This year's celebration will include a salute to the 50th anniversary of the Mustang, with a special parking area onsite.
