Paddle or walk against violence

WILLIAMS BAY — The Association for the Prevention of Family Violence's second annual Victory Over Violence, a special 3-mile walk or paddle around Geneva Lake's shore path in Williams Bay, will be held Sunday, August 24, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The event supports area efforts to prevent abuse and provide services for those affected by it. A special “poker run” with prizes awarded as well as a buffet breakfast will also be included.

Registration for the walk or paddle (kayak, paddle board or canoe) will begin at 7 a.m. at Wesley Woods Retreat Center, located at 250 Stam St., Williams Bay.

All of the $35 registration fee supports local APFV's services and programs.
