Intoxicated driving arrests
— GARY A. MODIE, 58, of 721 Rockport Road, Janesville, at 1:14 a.m. Sunday at Center Avenue and Rockport Road, Janesville, arrested on a charge of intoxicated driving/causing injury. A passenger in his vehicle sustained a possible broken or dislocated hip after two vehicles crashed in the intersection. Modie also was transported for medical treatment.
— WEAPON COMPLAINT, Saturday during Freedom Fest, 2416 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Police were alerted to someone with a handgun, which turned out to be a BB gun. A 15-year-old boy, who had not threatened anyone with the gun, was disruptive and disorderly when confronted, police said. He was referred to juvenile authorities on charges of disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, a marijuana pipe. He was on juvenile probation at the time and was held at the county juvenile detention center.
— BURGLARY to a residence, reported at 5:34 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of North Adams Street, Janesville. Taken were two wallets and a purse.
— BURGLARY to a residence, reported at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday on Ontario Drive, Janesville. Taken from an open safe was more than $4,000 worth of prescription drugs.
