Rock County Rage cruises to 3-0 record

SALEM—The Rock County Rage had little trouble improving to 3-0 in the Ironman Football League Saturday night.

The Rage defeated the Southern Lakes Blue Devils 48-0 at Westosha Central High School.

Dan Roberts again led the Rock County offense.

The quarterback threw four touchdown passes and ran for another.

Kyle Marty caught TD passes covering 60 and 20 yards from Roberts in the second quarter to help give Rock County a 28-0 halftime lead.

Roberts has hit Pat Rhode with a 19 yard scoring pass and Jermar Ayers with a 12-yarder.

Roberts ran 20 yards for another TD and finished with 173 yards passing and 123 yards rushing. The Rage rushed 24 times for 242 yards.

Cordell Dixon, Chris Lee and John Adams each had a fumble recovery to lead the defense. David Byerley and Dixon each had an interception.

Nate Wallman registered two sacks, and Deandre Harrell, John Wade and Jordan Powers each had one.

Harrell had seven tackles, and Wallman added six.

Rock County has a bye next week. The team’s next game is July 12 against the Rock River Raptors at Milton High School.
