LAKE GENEVA--Carolyn Hope Smeltzer, author of “Images of America: Geneva Lake,” will hold a book signing and program on the history of the people and places surrounding the lake Monday, June 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lake Geneva Public  Library, 918 W. Main St.

In vintage clothing, Smeltzer will portray the daughter of the founder of Rockford Camp, once on the shores of Geneva Lake.

Using photographs and journal entries, Smeltzer will follow seven generations of lake living on Geneva Lake, from the 1860s to the 1920s.

“Images of America: Geneva Lake” was compiled from photos, scrapbook images and letters in private collections, and through interviews with local residents.  The book looks at people, places, play, chores and scenic beauty all around Geneva Lake.
