Beloit man dies from car crash injuries
ELKHORN—Printess M. Prichard, 59, of Beloit died Sunday from injuries suffered 13 days earlier in head-on crash, according to a press release from the Walworth County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded June 9 to a two-car crash on Highway 14 south of County C near Darien.
Robert J. Lehr, 63, Wonder Lake, Illinois, crossed the centerline traveling east in his 2008 Chevy Aveo and collided with Pritchard's westbound 1994 Cadillac Deville. Both men were wearing seat belts.
First responders rushed Pritchard to a Madison-area hospital, where he died Sunday. Lehr suffered minored injuries.
Deputies administered breath tests to the drivers, and both men passed, Capt. Scott McClory said.
The deputies cited Lehr for driving left of center.
“We don't believe drugs or alcohol were a factor. They were both messed up, obviously, so whether it was a medical thing or something we don't know, yet,” McClory said.
The sheriff's office still is investigating, and the results will be forwarded to the district attorney's office for review, McClory said.
