LAKE GENEVA--Caribou Coffee stores in Monona, Waukesha, Wauwatosa, and at 833 E. Main St. in Lake Geneva are being converted to Peet's Coffee & Tea, according to a Business Journal story.

Reopening of the stores are scheduled for later this summer.

The Lake Geneva and Monona stores will be the first freestanding Peet's stores in Wisconsin, according to the story.

Caribou began closing stores last year, and the Lake Geneva location was one of the last in southeastern Wisconsin, although Caribous remain in the western part of the state.

California-based Peet's, and Minnesota-based Caribou Coffee are owned by Joh. A Beckiser, a German investment group.
